Bovee and Heil have played together since 1980. Both are well-rounded musicians, playing fiddle, banjo and guitar as well as singing. Bovee and Heil draw their performance material from the past — recreating songs learned from Bovee’s grandmother and generations of Ozarks performers.

The outdoor concert is free and open to the public with no registration required. Guests are asked to bring their own lawn chair. Young children must be accompanied by an adult.

Bovee and Heil are appearing in Austin courtesy of a grant from the MarySue Hormel Harris Trust to provide opportunities for all ages to appreciate. music.
