Mary Lucille Eastman, 93, of Riceville, Iowa, died Aug. 20, 2011.

She was born Feb. 25, 1918, to Peter and Edna (Errington) Staley. She was a member of the graduating class of 1935 at McIntire High School in McIntire, Iowa. On April 6, 1935, she married Clinton “Bus” Eastman in New Hampton, Iowa. Mary worked for Sande’s Locker in LeRoy, Minn., and McIntire Grocery in McIntire.

She is survived by her children, Lucille Jensen, Keith (Mary) Eastman, Leota Chase; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, son-in-laws, Donald Jensen, Joel Chase and sister, Kathryn Manwiller.

A funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24 at Riceville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Pam kranzler officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lindstrom Funeral Home and one hour before the service at the church. Interment will be at Wayne Cemetery in McIntire.
