Medgaarden named to livestock HOF

Published 6:42 am Saturday, August 6, 2011

Since 1984, Mower County has been compiling a group of the most notable livestock farmers, businessmen and advocates in the area. It’s the livestock hall of fame.

This year’s inductee is Glenn Medgaarden, and according to Ken Trom, fair director, “he’s done a lot.”

Medgaarden is a longtime farmer of both beef and hogs, the auctioneer at the 4-H auction and a pioneer of a beef cookout that takes place at the fairgrounds.
