Gregory D. Ritland, 63, died Sept. 12, 2011, in Plymouth, Minn., in the presence of his loving wife, Linda and two daughters, Nicole (Kyle) Kustermann and Katharine Ritland.

He was born Oct. 21, 1947, in Ames, Iowa., to Donald (deceased) and Reva Ritland. Greg leaves behind three grandchildren, Gavin, Hadley and Faith; three sisters, Marcia (Gary) Lunt, Jane (Doug) Johnson, and Janet (Robert) Jacobsen and several nieces and nephews.

Greg graduated from Austin High School in 1965. He served honorably in the Navy, aboard the USS Hoel. He graduated with a business degree from Winona State University and made a successful career in the manufacturing industry. He had a sense of humor that will not be forgotten. Greg was a loyal fan of the Minnesota Twins, Gophers and Vikings. He cherished his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Sept. 18, at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 East Wayzata Boulevard, Wayzata, MN.

A Memorial Service celebrating Greg’s life will be 11 a.m. Sept. 19, at St. Philip the Deacon Church, 17205 County Road 6, Plymouth, MN. Interment will be at Fort Snelling Cemetery.
