Austin police are searching for suspects in an early Sunday morning knife fight that left two local men injured.
Roberto Robledo, 30, and Luis Rodriguez, 25, were taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin around 1:25 a.m. Sunday and later transported to St. Marys Hospital via Mayo One, Police Chief Brian Krueger said.
Robledo and Rodriguez suffered puncture wounds and loss of blood from the alleged fight. According to a hospital spokesperson, Robledo is in good condition, and no information is available for Rodriguez.
Robledo and Rodriguez told police they had been drinking in a garage in the 600 block of Eighth St. NE when several Hispanics arrived and began fighting with them. The men said they do not know the suspects.
According to the police report, the suspects left the scene in a Pontiac Grand Am. Police have recovered the vehicle and it is being processed for evidence, Krueger said.
