Mabel Julett Zrucky, 99, formerly of Austin, Minn., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, at her daughter’s home in Monticello, Minn.

Mabel was born on Aug. 14, 1912, to Michael and Jennie Neus in Adams, Minn. She married Joseph Zrucky on Oct. 17, 1931, and they resided in Austin their entire life together. They were blessed with two sons and one daughter.

Mabel was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved having family gatherings and enjoyed cooking and baking for all her friends and relatives. Mabel also enjoyed playing bingo, bridge and 500. She was an active member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church for many years and enjoyed participating in the church circle. Mabel has made her home the last 10 years with her daughter in Monticello.

Mabel is survived by her three children: sons, Richard (LaVonne) Zrucky, Byron, Minn., Paul (friend Carol) Zrucky, Rochester, Minn.; daughter, Mary Rousselow, Monticello; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, two step-great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Mabel is preceded in death by her husband; granddaughter, Terri Exe; six brothers and three sisters. Blessed be her memory.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with the Rev. Ron Barnett officiating. Visitation will be at the church for one hour before the service.

The family requests memorials to St. Olaf Lutheran Church. Clasen-Jordan Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
