Nathan Harold Bray, 69, of Blooming Prairie, died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011, at Prairie Manor Care Center, Blooming Prairie.

He was born Nov. 5, 1941, in Blooming Prairie to Raymond and Florence (Benson) Bray. He was a baptized and confirmed member of First Lutheran Church. After graduating from Blooming Prairie High School in 1959, Nathan entered the Air Force. After his discharge, he worked for Honeywell for two years, and then returned to farm with his father until the late 1990s. Nathan then moved to Austin, where he lived at the Cedars and Chauncey Apartments. A favorite pastime was watching sports.

Survivors include three sisters, Marilyn (Dell) Wilson of Eden Prairie, Eileen Risch of Rochester, Myrna (Marvin) Donkers of Nerstrand; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; niece, Barbara Hertle-Beatty; grandniece, Mackenzie Risch.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, at First Lutheran Church in Blooming Prairie, with Pastor Heidi Heimgartner officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Red Oak Grove Lutheran Cemetery, with a flag presentation by American Legion Post 52 and VFW Post 878.
