The Austin Convention and Visitors Bureau is planning to paint Austin pink this winter.

The Austin CVB is looking to expand on the success of the Austin Bruins hockey team’s “Paint the Rink Pink” event held in February this year, with a “Paint the Town Pink” event Feb. 3-4, 2012. Plans are underway, and the CVB is looking for ideas from Austin businesses on pink promotions.

The event, which benefits The Hormel Institute and cancer research, will start Feb. 3 at Torge’s Live with music and raffle prizes and end with the Bruins game on Feb. 4.
