A Lansing Township woman lost three vehicles and two riding lawn mowers in a weekend shed fire.
Austin and Brownsdale Fire Departments were dispatched to 53465 255th St. in Lansing Township around 3 p.m. Sunday where a 55-by-65 shed was on fire.
The woman told deputies she was burning trash near the west edge of the shed when she left to answer the telephone. About 10 minutes later, her six-year-old son told her the shed was on fire, according to Sheriff Terese Amazi.
Amazi said the woman pulled two Harley Davidson motorcycles and one Mustang out of the shed safely. However, a 1969 Mustang, 2000 Ford Focus and 1995 Geo were lost in the fire. Two riding lawn mowers, a snowblower, several tools and a friend’s furniture and fifth-wheel camper were lost, as well.
Amazi said the damage dollar amount is unknown.
