Jerry A. Hamberg, 47, of Brooklyn Park, passed away after a short courageous battle with cancer on Oct. 7, 2011.

He was preceded in death by father, Archie, and brother, David.

He is survived by loving wife, Penny; mother, Phyllis; siblings: Susan (Hardy) Hyatt, John (Kathy), Sharon (Dick) Rasmussen, Darlene (Don) Rislov, Michael (Christine), Judy (Ron) Hansen, Steven (Holly), Tom (Cindy), Bill (Abby) and Pat (Bruce) Busall; brother-in-law, Roger (Debbie) Odell; and sister-in-law, Marlene (John) Manatt; along with many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lutheran Church of the Master, 1200 69th Ave N, Brooklyn Center. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church and also 5 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Washburn-McReavy, Glen Haven Chapel, 5125 W. Broadway, Crystal.
