An Austin man was arrested Saturday night for allegedly threatening to shoot at wedding guests at the Hormel Historic Home, according to Police Chief Brian Krueger.
Hassan Beih Mabu-Fardina, 29, was taken to the Mower County jail around 9:15 p.m. Saturday. Guests of the wedding told police Mabu-Fardina had approached them saying he wanted to fight.
“You want me to shoot you? Bang bang,” he allegedly said to the guests.
According to Krueger, the man had his hands in his pockets and the guests were unable to see if he had a gun. Guests also said he was slurring his words and appeared intoxicated, Krueger said.
Police did not find a gun on Mabu-Fardina when they arrested him.
A report of the incident was sent to the Mower County Attorney for criminal charges, possibly including terroristic threats and disorderly conduct, Krueger said.
