Senior Center offering flu shots
Published 7:00 pm Saturday, October 1, 2011
Flu shots will be given Saturday, Oct. 8, here at the Mower County Senior Center. MEDICAP will be giving shots from 9 a.m. until noon. Please bring your insurance cards. Everyone is welcome, so bring friends and family, too.
Why get your shot at the Senior Center?
Let me list the reasons: Parking is ample, minimal walking, lots of places to sit and relax, if you have to wait, which we doubt will happen, we offer help to fill out forms, if you want it, enjoy the health fair while you are at the center, door prizes, free health screenings, opportunity to learn about health related resources available to you right here in your community, soup, sandwich and bar lunch at $3.50, what a deal in the cafe with your friends.
While I can’t guarantee the flu shot will be entirely painless, I can guarantee you will have a very good time. Join us at the Annual Health and Wellness Fair at the Senior Center. See you at the fair. You are always welcome at the Senior Center.
