Packer bowlers fall to Red Wing

The Austin bowling team lost its regular season finale to Red Wing in Hayfield Saturday.

Colin Bailey and Kody Phillips each went 10-for-10 on fill opportunities for the Packers, who had their lowest fill rate (69.2 percent) of the season.

Austin finishes the regular season with a record of 13-3 overall and it took first place in the Southeastern Conference. The Packers will play in the Southeast tournament Dec. 3 with a chance to qualify for the state tournament.

The Austin JV team won two matches at its conference tournament Saturday and clinched a trip to the Minnesota High School State JV Tournament, which his held Dec. 4 in Owatonna.
