MINNEAPOLIS — One mystery donor to the Twin Cities Salvation Army has inspired another anonymous donor to be equally generous.
On at least six occasions, a donor has slipped $1,000 donations into a red kettle. The gestures are in the form of 10 tightly folded $100 bills, leading officials to believe all the donations were from the same person.
The latest $1,000 donation was dropped into a red kettle Thursday in Vadnais Heights. But this time it was apparently from a different person. An attached note said, “I was inspired by the other giver and wanted to do the same.”
Salvation Army spokeswoman Annette Bauer says the organization the organization also found a $23,000 cashier’s check in a kettle earlier this month.
