A 37-year-old Elkton man says someone stole nearly $800 of hunting gear out of his truck.
Sheriff Terese Amazi said the man reported the theft Tuesday, although he thinks the items were taken between Dec. 14 and Dec. 17. The missing items include a Winchester power spotting scope, Leica Rangemaster 900 Scan and a buck knife.
The man said the gear was stolen from his truck either when it was parked in front of his house or in the parking lot of the Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin, where he does construction.
Amazi said there was no forced entry into the truck.
