Allan Frederick Reinartz, 80, of Houston, passed away peacefully on Friday, Dec. 16, 2011, with children by his side.
Reinartz was born on Sept. 30, 1931, in Austin to Frank and Ruth Reinartz. He graduated form St. Augustine High School in 1949. He enlisted in the Air Force on Feb. 11, 1950. While serving in the Air Force, he met Iverson Eudell (Judy) Moseley, the love of his life. They were married on Nov. 10, 1952. They had five children: Lillian, Allan, Marvin, Patricia and Louis.
After retiring from the Air Force in 1970, Allan worked for Southwestern Bell in Houston as a chief switchman. He retired from Southwestern Bell in 1991.
Allan was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be greatly missed. He was known to his family and friends as a man of great kindness and high integrity. His greatest joys in life were his family and his church. He was an active member of St. Luke’s the Evangelist Catholic Church for more than 30 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ruth, his beloved wife, Judy, his daughter, Lillian, and his brother, David.
He is survived by four of his children: Allan (Jene’), Marvin (Shirley), Patricia (Rick) Greene, Louis (Kathy), all of the Houston area; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, John (Pat) of Topeka, Kan.; Larry (Myrna) of Rochester; Jerry (Linda) of Austin; Bill (Judy) of Northfield; and sister Mary Ann (Jim) of Austin.
Funeral service was held at St. Luke’s the Evangelist Catholic Church, 11011 Hall Road, Houston, Tex., on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011, at 11 a.m.
Interment was at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Fairway, Webster, Tex.
