Blossoms rally past Montgomery-Lonsdale

The Blooming Prairie boys basketball team hung on to beat Montgomery-Lonsdale (1-3 overall) 57-52 in BP Tuesday.
The Awesome Blossoms (3-1 overall) had the ball up one late when Gabe Kartes scored on a lay-up and Michael Thomas, who had 19 points, 10 rebounds, four steals and three assists, hit two free throws to ice the game with 12 seconds left.
BP trailed by four, but rallied to take a three-point lead with four minutes left after Kartes and Alex Fiebiger scored on a pair of breakaways off of turnovers.
BP freshman John Rumpza had 20 points, nine rebounds and four steals in the win.
