The hustle and bustle of the holidays is upon us. Everywhere you look people are scurrying to finish what seems to be endless shopping for more “stuff” most of us can really do without, spending large sums of money most of us can’t afford. Just a small amount of those dollars in the form of an “honorary” or “in memory” gift to Channel One Food Bank or your local food shelf would make a thoughtful, life-changing gift and help provide supplemental food for our friends and neighbors in need.
The need is great. There is no cost to any person receiving food assistance from the Salvation Army Food Shelf or any Channel One partner agency. There is a cost to feeding the hungry however. Please consider a monetary gift to the Austin Salvation Army Food Shelf this holiday season, where the buying power is multiplied greatly.
No one should go hungry.
