Gloria Matilda Olson, 79, formerly of Austin, died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, at Elm Springs Homes in Hartland, Minnesota.

Gloria was born April 13, 1932, in Fillmore County, Minn. to Thomas and Edna (Opsahl) Olson. She was baptized in Fillmore County and confirmed at Greenfield Lutheran Church in Harmony, Minn.

Survivors include her sister, Jarla Johnson, Rose Creek; brothers, Dwayne (Sharon) Olson, Austin, Verdon (Mona) Olson, Spring Grove; many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Edna Olson; brother-in-law, Darrell Johnson.

Funeral services were held 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 19, 2011, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with Kristi Koppel officiating. Friends called one hour before the service at the church. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to Elm Homes where Gloria resided.
