Rhonda Susanne McCabe, 55, of Austin, formerly of Wykoff, Minn., died Nov. 26, 2011, at the Adams Health Care Center in Adams, Minn.

She was born March 9, 1956, in La Crosse, Wis., to James and Jean McCabe. She married Kenneth Koch; they later divorced.

Rhonda loved to fish, play cards and tell stories. She was generous to a fault, always seeing the good in people. She had a natural talent with crafts and enjoyed sharing the fruits of her labor.

Rhonda is survived by her daughter, Erika (Felipe) Contreras of Horizon City, Texas; two granddaughters, Mariah and Alycia of Horizon City; a very special friend, LeRoy Wollschlager; parents, Jim and Jean McCabe; sisters, Renita (Donald) Irvin of Rose Creek, Jodi McCabe (Kevin Hanson) of Bloomington, Minn., Julaine (Paul)Schmidt of St. Paul, Minn., Mindy McCabe of Dallas; nieces, Krystina Irvin of San Antonio, Texas, Samantha Irvin of Ames, Iowa, Danielle Irvin of LaCrosse, Wis., Kaila Bedford of Bloomington, Cabriahn McCabe of Dallas; nephews, Tyler Irvin of Rochester, Minn., Ryan and Paul Schmidt of St. Paul; two grandchildren; numerous aunts; uncles and cousins.

Rhonda was preceded in death by a brother, Marti; grandparents, Francis and Mae Gossman, Richard and Gladys McCabe.

Private blessing of the ashes were Nov. 29, 2011. A public service will be held at a later date.
