A 34-year-old Austin woman was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin after a Monday morning crash on West Oakland Avenue.
According to Police Chief Brian Krueger, Marion Silva sustained minor injuries in the collision.
Silva was reportedly trying to cross West Oakland Avenue on Second Street NW when she was struck by Hermelinda Tuck, 47, who was driving a 2008 Pontiac G6. According to a witness, Tuck was in the left lane of West Oakland Avenue, blocked by a snow plow turning onto Second Street from the right lane, when she struck Silva’s van.
Silva told police she was unable to see Tuck’s car with the snow plow in the way.
No citations were issued, according to Krueger.
A passenger, 58-year-old Veryl Lord, complained of shoulder soreness but did not seek medical attention.
