Corrine was born July 24, 1939, in Wells, the daughter of Joe and Mabel Dulas. The 11th of 12 children, Corrine grew up in Wells and attended grade school and high school there. As a young girl she enjoyed the diversions of playing marbles and other games with her family. She also enjoyed helping her mother with baking and canning among other things. On May 19, 1962, she was united in marriage to Clayton Kruger in Wells. From this union they were blessed with three children: Connie, Cindy and Chris. Corrine was greatly loved by her children and family whom she loved to spend time with. She was best friend and buddy to them.
Corrine worked in Lake Mills, Iowa, for a time, and for Banquet Foods in Wells. Most of all, she was a housewife, a mom and an excellent dairy leader on the home place. She loved baking, cooking, canning, gardening and her flower gardening. She loved her special cat Kelly who was like her guardian angel, and other pets including her dogs: Sammy, Rosie, Jack, Sambo and others. She was a very busy woman and felt bad when others had to help her instead of her helping others.
Corrine is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Clayton; daughters: Connie Kruger of Walters, Cindy (Aaron) Raymond of Albert Lea, and Chris (Kent) Helgeland of Tennessee; nine grandchildren; brother Jim Dulas of Wells; sister Jeanette (John) Peterman of Oregon; brother Dave (Dottie) Dulas of Minneapolis; sister Kathy Boik (friend Stan Harper) of California; sister-in-law Cleone Dulas of Albert Lea and Shirley Dulas of Wisconsin. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and their families, and will be missed by her whole family.
She is preceded in death by her parents Joe and Mabel dulas; sisters Louise and Mary; brothers Donald, Richard, Joseph Jr., Phillip, and Raymond.
