Memorial services for LeRoy Bert Sorensen, 34, of Wells, will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Kent Otterman will officiate. Interment will be at Freeborn Cemetery with military honors accorded by Freeborn County area veterans organizations. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. LeRoy Bert Sorensen was born on July 3, 1977, to Steve and Sonja (Olson) Sorensen in Wells. He was a 1996 graduate of Alden-Conger High School. After graduation LeRoy worked as a truck driver and then enlisted in the United States Army Reserve. He was employed at various places; Matawan Feed & Grain, Jensen Transport in Mankato, Albert Lea Seed House, and Kerry in Blue Earth. He was a member of the VFW. LeRoy enjoyed working on his trucks and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his parents, Steve and Sonja Sorensen; children, Nicole, Katelyn and Tiffany; siblings, Dale and his wife, Mary Sorensen, of North Carolina, Amy and her husband, Todd Drescher, of Conger, Kay and her husband, Alex Falcon, of Richfield and Ray and his wife, Serena, Sorensen, of Wells; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
LeRoy was preceded in death by his grandparents; sister, Tammy; uncle, David and aunt, Cindy.
