The Austin boys hockey team lost to Owatonna 7-0 in Riverside Arena Tuesday.
The Packers (3-14 overall, 0-9 Big Nine) had some chances early on as the Huskies (9-6-3 overall, 6-3-1 Big Nine) took a 2-0 lead in the first period.
“We’re playing better and our effort and attitude was a lot better,” Austin head coach Tim Peterson said. “The kids are working and we’re still trying to make ourselves better.”
Austin saw senior forward Tyler Stevens return to the lineup after he was out with an injury since Dec. 10.
“We’ve finally got our whole roster and I think that’ll make a difference,” Peterson said.
Owatonna out-shot Austin 44-10 on the night.
