Larry Christopherson, 62

Larry “Chris” Christopherson, 62, of Austin, died at his home on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012, of complications of Multiple Myeloma.
Larry was born July 1, 1949, in Austin, Minn., to Lyle and Elaine (Jensen) Christopherson. He married Diane Brechtel at St. Olaf Lutheran Church on May 8, 1971. Larry worked at Elk River Concrete and retired on Oct. 28, 2005.
Larry was a member the American Legion Austin Post 91 and St. Olaf Lutheran Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and restoring his 1949 Ford.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Elaine and his grandparents.
Larry is survived by his wife, Diane; son, Wade Christopherson (Jill Lauer); daughters: Kelly Christopherson, Kim (Jason) Cummings; five grandchildren; sisters: Jennel (Pete) Hines, Marlene (Orris) Ohm, Connie Sylvester; brothers: Dean Christopherson (Edee Kalmi), Ed (Debbie) Christopherson.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with the Rev. Kristi Koppel officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery with Austin Post 91 American Legion in charge of military rites. Visitation will be at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.
Casket Bearers are Dave Krebsbach, Bernie Adams, Ed Unverzagt, Pete Hines, Dennis Hansen, and William Bell.
Memorials may be designated to St. Olaf Lutheran Church or the Gift of Life Transplant House, 705 2nd Street Southwest Rochester, MN 55902.
