A 19-year-old Austin man who assaulted four police officers in November was sentenced Friday to two years of probation.
Timothy Andrew Bakke was convicted of two counts of assaulting a peace officer.
According to a court complaint, officers were called to Bakke’s residence the evening of Nov. 30 because he reportedly came home drunk and argumentative. Officers attempted to arrest Bakke because he walked away as they searched him.
Bakke reportedly shoved and attempted to kick at least three officers and succeeded in kicking one in the shin. He also attacked an officer in a jail cell after he was booked, according to court documents.
Bakke also has a fifth-degree assault conviction dated Nov. 18, 2010, according to court documents.
