Rebels girls clinch at least a share of Three Rivers title

ADAMS — The Southland girls basketball team clinched a share of its first Three Rivers Conference title since it joined the conference in 2001 when it beat Plainview-Elgin-Millville (9-16 overall, 6-12 Three Rivers) 75-41 in Adams Friday.
Madi Schmitz scored 17 points and Haley Kirkpatrick added 11 for the No. 10 ranked Rebels (22-2 overall, 15-2 Three Rivers).
Southland will play Chatfield for the outright title Tuesday at in Adams at 7:30 p.m. Chatfield was the last team to beat Southland, when it won 68-54 Jan. 17.
