Southland girls fall to Kasson-Mantorville

KASSON — The Southland girls basketball had a 12-game winning streak snapped when it fell 88-82 at Kasson-Mantorville (26-1 overall) to close out its regular season Thursday.

“It was a great basketball game,” Southland head coach Bob Sheehan said. “Two really good teams went toe-to-toe and we played real well.”

Haley Kirkpatrick led Southland with 22 points.

The No. 10 ranked Rebels (23-3 overall) will enter the Section 2AA South Subsection as a No. 2 seed and they will host No. 7 Maple River Tuesday at 7 p.m.
