First tour quickly approaching
Published 4:08 pm Saturday, March 3, 2012
As we turn the calendar over to March, we are already thinking about spring flowers, leafing through seed catalogues and making plans for the outdoors.
It’s like a hibernation for us here, only with many happenings still going on. This has indeed been an unusual winter.
We are also making plans for the Spring, with our first tour planned for March 29 when we will take a motor coach trip to Bachman’s Flower Gardens in Minneapolis.
We will have a guided tour where we will learn about the new varieties of flowers and enjoy smelling all the new blossoming plants.
Then we will continue to downtown Minneapolis to the Macy’s Annual Flower show with elaborate settings with the “Tower of Flowers,” as this year’s theme. The balance of the day will be spent downtown for lunch and free time for travelers.
