Funeral services for Lila (Schroader) Hessel were held on March 1 in Robbinsdale. The Rev. Josh Underbakke officiated.

Lila was born Aug. 4, 1922, in Faribault County, Kiester, the daughter of Roy and Ide Schroader. She graduated from Kiester High School in 1940. She worked in the Defense Plant in Minneapolis during World War II for Ker Magee for several years before opening up their own business, Lattarve transfer.

She is survived by two daughters: Cheryl Huso (Kent) and Dawn Taft of Minneapolis; four grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; sisters: Carmen Meyer of Owatonna, Marilyn Moe of Owatonna and Gloria Walk of Albert Lea; sister-in-law, Marilyn Schroader of Hartland and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry; son, Robert; stepson, Lonny; three brothers: Marvin, VirGene (Lop) and Marlin.
