Kenneth L. Grever, 83, of Brownsdale, Minn. died Sunday, April 1, 2012, at Fieldcrest Care Center in Hayfield, Minn.

He was born Sept. 26, 1928, in Lake Zurich, Ill. to George and Martha (Hapke) Grever. On July 28, 1956, Kenneth married Joyce (Holub) Grever at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Lake Zurich. They lived in Lake Zurich until 1974, moving to Blooming Prairie, Minn. at that time, and then to Brownsdale in 2003. Kenneth was a farmer all his life. A member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Brownsdale, Kenneth also was a Farm Bureau member, a hybrid seed dealer, a church board member, and active in numerous church committees.

Survivors include his wife Joyce Grever of Hayfield, formerly of Brownsdale; sons Gene (Geri) Grever of Wauconda, Ill., William Grever of Brownsdale; daughter Alecia Grever of Kenosha, Wisconsin; five grandchildren, Marc (Sarah) Grever, Christopher Boelter, Macayla Grever, Noah Grever, and Matthew Grever; one great-grandchild Sophia Grever; six siblings, Esther, Orville, Joan, Robert, Donna, and George; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents George and Martha Grever; eight brothers and sisters, Ella, Laura, Harry, Fred, Earl, Annette, Marion, and Elmer.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Brownsdale with Pastor Jeffery Sage officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. The family prefers that memorials be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church in Brownsdale and Good Shepherd Lutheran School in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.
