Lansing Corners to clear final hurdle to become event center

Lansing Corners’ transformation from a supper club to an event center could be official Tuesday.
Owner Dave Olson is going to the county board Tuesday afternoon to ask for a conditional use permit for the recently converted event center.
The meeting is slated to begin at 1 p.m. in the county board room of the Mower County Government Center.
Other business:
—Convention and Visitor’s Bureau Executive Director Cheryl Corey will give the board an update on the progress of the Southern Minnesota Tourism Association.
—The board will approve or deny a liquor license for 3.2 beer for Beaver Trails Jellystone Park for July 1 through June 30, 2013.
