Mae Marciel Huebner, 89, of Austin, Minn. died Saturday afternoon, April 14, 2012, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Home in Austin.

She was born Sept. 15, 1922, in Pulcifer, Wis., the daughter of William and Eda (Isaacson) Werth. She attended school in Wisconsin, graduating from Gillett High School in 1940 and from nurse’s training in 1945. On June 7, 1947, she was united in marriage to Roger Huebner in Green Valley, Wis.

After moving to Austin, Mae worked as a nurse at the St. Mark’s Lutheran Home until her retirement in 1986. Roger died on Aug. 28, 2003. She moved to St. Mark’s Lutheran Home in 2005. She was a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, the Ladies Circle and the Church’s Women’s Society of Austin. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She was able to travel all over the world. Mae was a member of the local nurses club and camera club.

Survivors include two daughters, Susan Huebner of Austin and Carol Tompson of Spokane, Wash.; three sons, Tom Huebner of St. Paul, Minn., Jim Huebner of Austin and John Huebner of Minneapolis, Minn.; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Werth of Viroqua, Wis; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roger on Aug. 28, 2003 and one brother.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2012, at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, Austin, with the Rev. David Fleischmann officiating. Interment will follow the service in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
