Marjorie A. “Maggie” Rohde, 69 of Mona, Iowa died Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Hospice of North Iowa in Mason City. Marjorie Ann Hacker was born Oct. 16, 1942 in Freeborn County, Minnesota to Albert W. and Helen (Anderson) Hacker. She attended school in Albert Lea. On Nov. 8, 1958, Marjorie was united in marriage to Raymond George Rohde in Albert Lea. After their marriage, the couple lived in Mona, Iowa. Marjorie worked as a CNA at Comforcare in Austin for 22 years. Raymond died Sept. 11, 1993, after which Marjorie continued to live in Mona. She was a member of Mona Lutheran Church and WELCA, and enjoyed collecting dolls and baking. Marjorie moved to Good Samaritan Center in St. Ansgar in December 2011.

Survivors include her son Steven Rohde of Austin; sisters Mary (David) Wendelboe of Waukee, Iowa, Sandra Simonson of Albert Lea, Debra (Marvin) Rohde of Mona, Donna (Rick) Karge of Hollandale; brother Gordon A. (Lolly) Hacker of Albert Lea; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Helen and her husband Raymond.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin, with Reverend Barbara Finley-Shea officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Austin.
