WINONA — The Austin baseball team lost 6-0 at Winona (3-3 overall, 3-2 Big Nine) Friday.

The Packers (2-6 overall, 2-5 Big Nine) had runners on second and third in the top of the first but couldn’t score and the Winhawks got on the board with a three-run homer in the second inning off of Jacob Thompson, who struck out six.

“Jacob pitched a pretty good game but it was disapointing that we didn’t hit the ball well,” Austin head coach Troy Watkins said.
