Melvin Gordon, 90, Albert Lea

Melvin I. “Miggs” Gordon passed away on April 11, 2012, having lived to celebrate his 90th birthday on March 16 with Arizona friends and family.

He was one of three sons was born to Louis and Gertrude Gordon of Albert Lea and a graduate of Albert Lea High School. After time in the Navy serving his country during World War II, Miggs attended the University of Minnsota and enjoyed a long and challenging career as an electrical engineer with Gordon Electric in Albert Lea. He and his late wife, Marjorie Bearman Gordon, were residents of Sun City, Ariz., for 28 years.

Melvin and Marjorie, who died May 16, 2011, leave behind daughters: Jillian Gordon of Minneapolis and Judith (Joseph) Rosenstein of New Jersey; as well as five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many great-granddogs.

The couple were active in Temple Beth Shalom of the West Valley, Sun City, Ariz., and in the homeowner management of El Dorado Condominiums.

Burial was at Sunland Memorial Park in Sun City.
