MINNEAPOLIS — The attorney for the wife of former Minnesota Vikings player Joe Senser says his client didn’t get a fair trial in a fatal hit-and-run.

Defense attorney Eric Nelson argues that Amy Senser’s guilty verdicts should be thrown out.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press (http://bit.ly/JY3JqT) reports Nelson argues in a motion filed Friday that there wasn’t enough evidence to support the jury’s verdict that she was guilty of criminal vehicular homicide.

A jury this month found Amy Senser guilty of two felony counts of criminal vehicular homicide in the Aug. 23 death of 38-year-old Anousone Phanthavong (ah-NOO’-sahn PAN’-tah-wong). He was struck while trying to fill his gas tank on a Minneapolis freeway exit ramp.

Amy Senser faces up to four years in prison when she is sentenced July 9.
