Bernice V. Ruble, 91

Bernice Viola Ruble, age 91 of Austin, died Friday, May 18, 2012, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin.
Bernice was born on March 19, 1921, in Mud Lake, Minn., the daughter of Thorval and Palma (Johnson) Kolden. She grew up in northern Minnesota graduating from Holt High School in the late 1930’s.
After graduation Bernice came to the area to find work. On May 15, 1941, she married Richard Ruble in Hayward, Minn. Bernice worked as a secretary for her husband for the various organizations he worked and volunteered for.
She was a member of the Moscow Lutheran Church and Grapevine Twist. Bernice enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, and square dancing. She was well known for growing and making gorgeous gladiolas arrangements. She will be remembered with love.
Survivors include her children: Cheryl (Glenn) Schewe, Andrea (James) Flemming and Emerson (Nikki) Ruble all of Austin; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; siblings Jim (Connie) Kolden, Janet (Bill) Doxrude, Orville (Makia) Kolden, Kendall (Vicki) Kolden and Lyla (Al) Burnett; many nieces and nephews.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; husband Richard; grandchildren Angela Marie Flemming and Martin Richard Flemming; siblings Thelma, Carol, Richard, Reuben, Lorna, Earl, Floyd and Roger.
Memorial services for Bernice will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at Oakland Lutheran Church. Rev. Katie Fick will officiate. Private interment will be at Fairview Cemetery.
