Clifford Gene Wilde, 75, of Austin, Minn. died Sunday, May 20, 2012, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

Cliff was born July 29, 1936, in Austin to James and Elizabeth (Malone) Wilde. He grew up in Austin where he graduated from Austin High School. Cliff served in the United States Army from 1959 to 1961. Many knew Cliff as a long time bartender in the Austin area.
Survivors include his long time companion and special friend, Marie Norman, and her daughters, Tina (Tony) Corporon and Kathy (Tom) Eeten; brother, Jerry (Mary) Wilde; sisters, Shirley Frankum, Dianne (Dennis) Distad; many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Vernon “Bud”, Don, William, Clinton; sister, Dorothy Huffman.
A prayer service will be held 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at Mayer Funeral Home where friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Interment will be held 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2012, at Calvary Cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post No. 91.
