SPRING VALLEY — The Grand Meadow-LeRoy-Ostrander-Kingsland softball team swept a doubleheader from Southland by scores of 11-5 and 10-8 in Kingsland Monday.

Grand Meadow senior Stephanie Russell had a big day for the Bulldogs (5-7 overall) as she picked up a win and a save in the circle and she went 6-for-8 with two homers, three doubles and seven RBIs, while scoring six runs at the plate in the doubleheader.

Brooke Yunker, Lindsey Bottema and Kelli Smith all homered for Southland (7-6 overall, 6-6 Three Rivers).
