Police are looking for suspects and a vehicle after a 22-year-old Austin woman noticed her car had recently gone missing.

According to Police Chief Brian Krueger, the victim, in the 400 block of South Main Street, called police Monday afternoon and said someone she knows may have taken her white, 1998 Mercury Mystique sometime within the past week. The victim also suspects that the thief may have taken the car, valued at $1,200, to Chicago.

Krueger said he notified Chicago Police about the car, which has license plate number 597-DNB. The report did not mention why the victim reported her car missing several days after the alleged theft.
