Austin police arrested a 20-year-old Austin man who allegedly held a gun while chasing two people on Sunday.
According to the police report, police arrested Tywan Clark after homeowners in the area reported Clark with a gun, chasing a black man and white man through the 2000 block of Sixth Ave. NW around 6:30 p.m. and later walking back and forth on the road. An officer arrested Clark as he was allegedly putting a loaded 9mm semi-automatic pistol in the back of a truck. Though the magazine was empty, there was one live round in the chamber, the report states.
Clark is in the Mower County jail, and charges are pending with the Mower County Attorney’s office. Police Chief Brian Krueger said Clark could be charged for carrying a firearm without a permit and transporting a loaded, uncased firearm.
