The Summer Kick-Off Classic Car Show will be held at the intersection of Main Street and First Avenue NE from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Admission is free and the event runs in conjunction with the farmers market.
“We’ve got a number of different vendors from here in town as well as surrounding areas,” said Riley Brolsma, co-owner of women’s boutique store Ooh La La on Main Street, who has assisted with the car show. “Come on out and have a good time.”
Main Street will contain the majority of the events, though connecting streets will also be involved.
“At last count, there was somewhere around 25 cars,” Brolsma said. “I’m sure that has grown.”
A number of children’s events will also be part of the downtown festivities to keep local youth busy.
“We’re all really excited,” Brolsma said. “It’s definitely a great thing to come and check out and a really good preview to a number of events similar to this that we’ll be hosting in the future.”
