June Leidall, 88, of Lyle, Minn., died Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at the Good Samaritan Society in St. Ansgar, Iowa.

June Malvina Jorgenson was born Feb. 23, 1924, in Lyle to Louis and Esther (Nelson) Jorgenson. On Aug. 21, 1941, she married Laverne Leidall in Lyle. The couple had five children. A member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Lyle, June belonged to the ELCA and was a Sunday school teacher. She liked to cook, clean, and take care of her kids. She especially loved to share her faith. June was a faithful and loving wife to Laverne for 71 years.

Survivors include her husband Laverne of Lyle; son Todd (Melody) Leidall of Maple Grove, Minn.; daughters Jod (Bob) Kaput of Lyle, Diane (Jim) Horgen of St. Ansgar, Jan (John) Coumbe of Park Rapids, Minn.; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Donna Peterson and A.J. Jennings, both of the Twin Cities; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Esther; two brothers, Mark and Claire; one sister, Becky; her son, Bruce.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Lyle, with the Rev. Barbara Finley-Shea officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Six Mile Grove Cemetery, rural Lyle. Memorials are preferred to Lyle First Responders or the Lyle Cancer Telethon.
