Kevin Duane Burton, 49, of Two Rivers, Wis., formerly of Green Bay, Wis., passed away unexpectedly June 23, 2012.

Kevin was born Nov. 9, 1962, in Minneapolis to LaVerne and Margaret (McCarthy) Burton. Kevin was a 1981 graduate of West DePere High School and lived most of his life in the Green Bay area. He was a talented auto body technician and painter. He served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves for four years.

Kevin approached life in a unique and sometimes unconventional way. He was a good man with a big heart that would help anyone. Kevin’s greatest accomplishment was being a wonderful father. Spending time with his son Dylan was his greatest joy.

Kevin enjoyed time with his friends and riding his Harley. He was a life-long member and founder of The Heathen’s Motorcycle Club, which he considers his extended family. Kevin was also a fan of the Green Bay Packers.

Kevin was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Charles and Edna McCarthy; paternal grandparents Harry Sr. and Margarite Burton; step-dads Dale Dillinger and Gary Uzlik Sr.; uncles Robert Burton, Richard Burton, Harry Burton Jr. and John Waller; aunt and uncle Joyce and Alvie Emery; and his special great aunt Alice (Auntie Em) Wright.

Kevin is survived by his son Dylan (Ashley), Manitowac, Wis.; longtime companion Carla Nikolas, Two Rivers; his mother, Margaret (Dennis) Dunn, Austin; his father, LaVerne Burton, Algona, Iowa; sisters, Kimberly (Joe) Pinkava, Austin; and Tracy Burton (Dave) Custer City, Okla.; brothers, Alan (Rowena) Burton, Austin and Randy Burton (Sandy) Farmington, N.M.; mother of Dylan, Jackie Hochmuth, Green Bay; nephews Christopher Kellerman (Jessica) and Nicholas Doe; nieces Anna (Chris) Todd, Kristi Burton, Samantha Doe and Trinity Foust; aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be held June 28, 2012, at Proko-Wall Funeral Home in Green Bay, with full military rites. A service will be planned at a later date in Austin where Kevin will be laid to rest.
