ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — A St. Paul man has pleaded guilty to holding his girlfriend captive in their home and beating her in an attack prosecutors say lasted three days.

Twenty-two-year-old Branden Fourre pleaded guilty Thursday to second-degree assault and kidnapping. He faces nearly eight years in prison when he’s sentenced July 26.

A Ramsey County Attorney’s office spokesman says Fourre admitted he terrorized the woman, duct-taped her and kept her in their basement, and caused bruises that covered her from head to toe.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press (http://bit.ly/MgXBKr) reports Fourre also will have to register as a sex offender for 10 years.

The victim told police last January that Fourre had accused her of being unfaithful and then detained her in their home for three days.
