Team members from Austin’s Service Corp of Retired Executives toured Miken Sports Inc. in Caledonia, Minn., and Skipperliner Manufacturing in La Crosse, Wis., on Tuesday to keep abreast of changes in the industrial and commercial industries.

Miken Sports uses composite products to manufacture sports equipment like baseball bats, softball bats, hockey sticks and baseball helmets. Skipperliner Manufacturing, located on the Mississippi River, is in the boat construction and refurbishing business. Bob Brinkman, Bruce Bailey, John Beckel and Ken Trom joined Rochester and Owatonna SCORE members for the tour. SCORE members go on tours each summer.
