The alleged victim told police Rowand reportedly stabbed him in the wrist and swiped him on the shoulder with a small-bladed knife. Police found the knife on a coffee table.

Court documents state Rowand admitted to stabbing her boyfriend without any prompting or questioning.

She later started talking about prior domestic disputes she had with her boyfriend.

Rowand appeared before Freeborn County District Court Judge Ross Leuning on the charge Tuesday. Leuning ordered she pay bail of $15,000 with conditions or $50,000 without conditions.

Conditions included not using alcohol or controlled substances, not contacting the alleged victim, not possessing alcohol or drugs, not using or possessing firearms or dangerous weapons and submitting to chemical testing, among others.

She is next scheduled to appear July 30.
