Daryl Ford, 82, of Yakima, Wash., passed away Friday, Aug. 10, at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.

Daryl was born April 16, 1930, in Riceville, Iowa, to George and Maym (Whisler) Ford. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and during WWII on the USS Missouri and owned and operated Ford & Sons Construction. He returned to Yakima in 1995 where he worked as a real estate agent for Century 21 of Yakima until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Joan of Yakima; three sons, David Ford of Mt. Lake Terrace, Wash., and Daryl Ford and Dwayne Ford of Lynwood; three daughters, Donna Elder of Yakima, Dawn Ford of Bellevue, Wash., and Denise Winder of Salem, Ore.; a sister, Jean Dykeman of Austin, Minn.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
