We’d like to sincerely thank the community for supporting our live music in the Peace Garden this summer. We were able to host the Austin Community Jazz Band on Monday, July 2 and family friendly Koo Koo Kanga Roo on Tuesday, July 24.

Both of our concerts were funded by the MarySue Hormel Harris Trust with a goal of providing opportunities for music appreciation for all ages in our community.

Our commitment to music is inspired by the legacy of the Hormel family: George Hormel and his wife Lillian were great champions of music and Lillian was a talented pianist and organist.

We plan to continue to offer music programming to the Austin area and will launch a new piano contest, the Harris Piano Competition, this fall. For more information, see our web site at www.hormelhistorichome.org.
